Ξένη Δημοσίευση: Πώς οι Τουρκοκύπριοι πολιτικοί πρωταγωνιστές ερμηνεύουν το αποτέλεσμα της Γενεύης;*

This article examines why Turkish Cypriot political figures present the results of the Geneva informal conference as positive despite little substantive progress on the Cyprus issue. Most politicians, particularly Ersin Tatar and the Republican Turkish Party (CTP), emphasize its constructive aspects like the renewed dialogue and cooperation agreements in eight sectors. This positive framing appears strategically timed for the upcoming "presidential elections" in Northern Cyprus. The Community Democracy Party (TDP) stands alone in expressing pessimism, criticizing the talks as superficial and lamenting the Turkish Cypriots' isolation. While Tatar maintains his position on "sovereign equality" and rejects federal solutions, CTP's Erhiurman cautiously welcomes dialogue resumption while noting the limited concrete outcomes. The political positioning reflects electoral considerations rather than diplomatic breakthroughs.
