EXCLUSIVE: Turkey Prepares for All Scenarios Amid US-Iran Nuclear Negotiations Uncertainty

Turkish officials closely monitor the evolving situation in the Middle East as concerns grow over the future of US-Iran nuclear negotiations. Sources who shared their views with the Levant Files expressed deep apprehension about the trajectory of these talks and their potential regional implications.

"We believe that we must try every available diplomatic channel to settle the nuclear issue peacefully," a Turkish source told the Levant Files. "As Turkey, we have no objection to the use of nuclear power for peaceful purposes. But, as our allies, we believe that we must set clear boundaries for the use of this dangerous technology. This precaution must concern the international community as a whole, including the Israeli regime that today blames our neighbor."

As tensions rise and the possibility of escalation looms, Turkish sources have adopted a clear stance: "We are closely monitoring the ongoing USA-Iran negotiations. We still believe that there is a chance for a peaceful conclusion. At the same time, we are monitoring Benjamin Netanyahu's regime's steps in this chapter. Unfortunately, the latest information from these fronts is not positive. In effect, the Israeli state has been hijacked by a war-mongering clique. They are devastating the Gaza Strip. And now they prepare escalation scenarios for our neighborhood."

Based on these observations, one ex-military source concluded: "As Turkey, we prepare for every scenario. Our armed forces are on full alert on many fronts and ready to reassess the situation. Our priorities are the security of our seas, in the Aegean and Mediterranean, our borders, and the brotherly TRNC."

Meanwhile, according to several Turkish media sources, multiparty negotiations continue in Azerbaijan. These discussions include representatives from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Syria, and Israel and currently focus on "technicalities" concerning Syria's interim period.

Sovereignty as Spectacle: Turkish Cypriot Researcher Critiques Grand Opening of the Northern Cyprus New "Republican Campus"

On Saturday, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), which is not recognized internationally, officially launched its new "Republican Campus." The first construction phase features the new Presidential Building and Parliament Building, inaugurated during a grand ceremony attended by Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Dubbed by critics as a "show of sovereignty," the event, alongside the concurrent Teknofest technology festival, has drawn criticism from Turkish Cypriot researcher-writer Mete Hatay for its political undertones and symbolic messaging. Hatay, a noted peace researcher affiliated with the Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO), argues that the openings were not merely about inaugurating buildings but about constructing symbols of dominance under the guise of sovereignty. Hatay describes the events as meticulously staged platforms for political agendas. "Today in Northern Cyprus, it wasn't just buildings that were opened; symbols w...
