Iran Rebuilds Military Sites Destroyed in War as Israel, US Plan Response Talks

Tehran has begun reconstructing key military facilities destroyed during the recent Israel-Iran War, prompting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Donald Trump to schedule urgent discussions on how to respond to these developments. Satellite imagery published Thursday by the Associated Press reveals active reconstruction at the Parchin and Shahroud missile bases, raising alarm in Washington and Jerusalem about Iran’s renewed nuclear and missile ambitions.

According to an Israeli source who spoke to The Jerusalem Post on Friday, the reconstruction efforts have sped up concerns about Iran’s attempts to restore its ballistic missile and nuclear programs. The two leaders will discuss potential responses to Tehran’s rebuilding campaign, with both nations having previously vowed to prevent any revival of Iran’s nuclear capabilities. Intelligence analysts are closely monitoring the rapid reconstruction at facilities that were strategically targeted and destroyed by Israeli strikes just months ago.

The satellite images reveal that mixing buildings at both Parchin and Shahroud are currently under repair, with reconstruction focusing on facilities that housed “planetary mixers”–sophisticated machines equipped with rotating blades that orbit around a central axis, providing more effective mixing capabilities than conventional equipment. These devices are crucial for producing solid-fuel propellants used in ballistic missiles.

US officials and defense experts have expressed concern that Iran could gain replacement mixers from China, where Tehran has previously sourced missile fuel ingredients and other critical components. The advantage of solid-fuel missiles lies in their rapid launch capability, unlike liquid-fuel variants that require time-consuming filling procedures immediately before launch–a vulnerability that proved costly for Iran during its recent conflict with Israel.

Both Netanyahu and Trump have issued stern warnings against Iran’s nuclear revival attempts. “We have dismantled Iran’s nuclear project. If anyone in Iran attempts to restore this project, we will act decisively to prevent it,” Netanyahu declared at the war’s conclusion. Trump echoed similar sentiments, stating that any reestablishment of Iran’s nuclear program would prompt immediate action.
