SDF Rejects Claims by Damascus: "We Represent All Syrian Peoples"

Syrian Democratic Forces members dismiss statements from Ahmed al-Shara, whose background includes ties to Nusra, Al-Qaeda, and ISIS, asserting that taking power in Damascus doesn't mean governing all of Syria.

According to a report by the ANF news agency, fighters from the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have firmly rejected recent statements by Syria's Transitional Government President Ahmed al-Shara (formerly known as Jolani), who claimed that the SDF does not represent the Kurdish people. The diverse coalition of fighters emphasized that they represent not only Kurds but also Alevi, Syriac, Arab, Druze, and Armenian communities across Syria.

"We do not accept or take seriously the statements of a person with past ties to Nusra, Al-Qaeda, and ISIS as representing Syria's ethnic structure," said Stêra Dêrik, an SDF fighter from Dêrik. "The fact that a person whose past practice was to massacre Syrian people is now taking power in Damascus does not mean he can govern all of Syria."

The SDF fighters stressed that their forces embody the Democratic Nation paradigm of Abdullah Öcalan, creating a multi-ethnic and multi-religious coalition that stands ready to defend all of Syria. "SDF represents all of Syria, not just the Kurdish people and North and East Syria, but all Syrian components. However, Jolani and his affiliated forces don't even represent the Sunni-Arab population, let alone all of Syria," the fighters stated.

Muhsin Hama, an Alevi youth within the SDF, highlighted recent violence against minorities: "The massacres he carried out against Alevis living in Latakia, Tartus, Homs, and Hama show that Jolani's mentality has not changed and that he cannot represent all of Syria. The only force that can govern and defend Syria must be based on Leader Apo's 'Democratic Nation' paradigm. That is the SDF."

Gerîla Tolhildan, another SDF fighter, emphasized the practical implementation of democratic coexistence in North and East Syria: "Within the framework of this paradigm, all peoples and faiths live together democratically and freely. We - Kurds, Arabs, Yazidis, Syriacs, Druze, Alevis, Sunnis, and Christians - defend our peoples and faiths together on the same front, in the same position."

Hana Dêrik, a Syriac fighter, reinforced this message: "SDF has shown through practice that it is the only force that will defend and protect all of Syria. SDF is the true defender and will of the Syrian peoples and faiths."

Arab fighter Mazlum Qamişlo dismissed al-Shara's claims as empty words: "If SDF didn't represent these communities, these peoples and faiths wouldn't have joined SDF. However, our people, seeing that the SDF brings Leader Apo's paradigm to life and seeing Syria's future, including liberation, democratization, and defense, through the SDF, joined its ranks. Today, our numbers are constantly increasing."

The fighters warned that Syria's Transitional Government is attempting to create discord among different communities, but emphasized that the Syrian people are aware of these tactics. "We have united around Leader Apo's 'Democratic Nation' paradigm. Arab, Kurdish, Syriac, Druze, Alevi, and Armenian peoples and faiths have gathered around a single ideology," stated Rêzan Dêrik.

The SDF members concluded by affirming their readiness and capability to defend all Syrian territories and peoples, viewing themselves as the genuine representative force of Syria's diverse population.
