Iranian Kurdish Parties Unite to Support Nationwide Uprising Against Tehran Regime

Political parties from Eastern Kurdistan (Iranian Kurdistan) have announced they will conduct joint and coordinated efforts to support the ongoing popular uprising across Iran, calling for unity among all Iranian peoples to confront the Islamic Republic.

According to the Fırat News Agency, the announcement came following a high-level meeting held on January 5, organized by the Eastern Kurdistan Kurdish Parties Dialogue and Cooperation Center. The gathering brought together leaders from major Kurdish political organizations to assess the current political situation in Iran and developments in Kurdistan.

Condemning Bloody Crackdowns

Participants strongly condemned the violent crackdowns on protesters in Kermanshah, Ilam, Malekshahi, and Lorestan, which they attributed to direct orders from Iran's supreme leadership. The parties also expressed condolences to families of those killed during recent demonstrations.

Mustafa Hijri, General Secretary of the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan and head of the Dialogue and Cooperation Center, delivered the opening address, emphasizing that Kurdish parties bear greater responsibilities during this critical period.

Roadmap for Action

The meeting concluded with decisions to draft cooperation principles among Kurdish political parties and develop a roadmap to strengthen the Kurdish national and political movement in Iran. Participants agreed to take "serious and practical steps" against the Islamic Republic's hostile policies toward the Kurdish movement.

Representatives from Komala Party, Kurdistan Freedom Party, PJAK, and several worker organizations attended the historic meeting.
