Syria TV sources confirmed that the Syrian army began entering Raqqa city following the expansion of its control over western parts of the province and the strategic city of Tabqa. Hours earlier, Deir ez-Zor became free of SDF presence after tribal movements forced the group's withdrawal from the governorate, according to Syria TV correspondents. The Syrian Arab Army extended its control over the entire western Euphrates region and the Badia Al-Shamiya area, while tribal fighters seized control of the Markada area south of Al-Hasakah.
The Syrian Arab Army Operations Authority announced full control over Tabqa military airport after expelling what it described as "Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militias classified as terrorist". Army units also extended control over the Mansoura dam (formerly the Al-Baath Dam) and the towns of Labda and Al-Hammam in western Raqqa countryside, positioning forces less than five kilometers from Raqqa's western entrance.
In Deir ez-Zor, tribal fighters prompted SDF withdrawal from the towns of Shaitat, Al-Jaradi, Swedan Island, and Al-Tiya in the eastern countryside. The official Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) published photos of the strategic Halabiya roundabout in Deir ez-Zor countryside after SDF elements withdrew, describing it as "a pivotal point and a transportation knot between the eastern, western and northern countryside of Deir ez-Zor". Reuters reported that the Syrian army controls the Al-Omar oil field and the Konico gas field in Deir ez-Zor.
The pro-Kurdish ANF News Agency reported that clashes continue across a wide geography, with QSD (SDF) and YPJ forces responding to attacks with heavy weapons. The agency stated that SDF destroyed two tanks, two armored vehicles mounted with heavy machine guns, and killed numerous attackers.
More than 400 SDF members defected in Raqqa city and joined what was described as a "popular uprising," according to the Syrian news channel. Additionally, Abdul Hamid Al-Mahbash, head of the Autonomous Administration delegation negotiating with the government, announced his defection from the SDF. The Syrian Ministry of Defense announced that 483 SDF members contacted defection numbers, with 181 secured safely.
SDF commander Mazloum Abdi announced withdrawal from contact areas east of Aleppo in response to calls from "friendly countries" and intermediaries, stating the decision came "within the framework of showing goodwill to complete the integration process, and the commitment to implement the terms of the March 10 agreement". Turkish outlet T24 reported that the Syrian government presented Abdi with a 12-point roadmap for implementing the March 10 agreement, including withdrawal from Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor, transfer of energy resources, and possible appointment of Abdi as Haseke governor. French President Emmanuel Macron spoke with Syrian President Ahmed Al-Shara, stating that "Syria's unity and stability depend on the implementation of the March 10 agreement".
